Y1 Windsor Castle Trip
On Wednesday 26th February 2020, Year 1 will be visiting Windsor Castle to support their learning in the curriculum topic: ‘Would you like to be a real life King or Queen?’ During the trip the children will tour the castle and find out how it was used in the past. They will also discuss its features and take part in a workshop titled, ‘Who is the queen?’ where the children will explore Her Majesty’s working life during her reign, including the many official and State duties that she carries out at Windsor.
To allow enough time to fully explore the castle, the coach will leave school at 8.15am and return to school by 4.15pm. Please make sure your child arrives at school by 8.00am so we can complete a class register and board the coach on time.
For this trip, your child will need:
- to wear full school uniform with trainers instead of school shoes
- to bring a waterproof coat (hat, scarf and gloves depending on the weather).
- a small back pack to carry their lunch and excess clothing
- a packed lunch, including a bottle of water – clearly labelled with your child’s name.
