Parents & the PTA
Parental Help In School
At Earlsfield we pride ourselves on a strong home school relationship.
Without the support we have from our parents, we would not be able to achieve as much as we do. At present, there are many ways you can get on board and work with us.
Trips
Without your support we wouldn’t be able to go on as many exciting trips across London to enrich our learning.
If you are able to support on class trips please make that known your child’s class teacher. Also if you are happy to help out on any class’s trip, please let the office know.
This year we have a few enthusiastic parents on Year Five in IGospel rehearsals in preparation to join the Year Five performance trip to the Royal Festival Hall in the new year.
Helping out in school
In the future, we would like to involve more parents helping out in class on a regular basis.
Parents who have helped in school previously have found this extremely rewarding. By law, in order to do this we would need CRB clear, which we would be willing to find for those parents who could commit to coming into school on a regular basis.
If this is something you would be interested in please register your interest with and we’ll be in touch in the new year.

PTA
One of the easiest ways to begin to get involved is through the PTA.
The Earlsfield Parents Teachers Association play a key role in the school through organising fundraising and social events. The PTA team work hard to organise events for the whole family to enjoy being part of the Earlsfield community. If you would like to be a part of this look at the PTA tab in the Our Community section of the website.
Your PTA (Parent-Teacher Association)
The PTA contribute between £25 000 and £30000 a year to help make projects possible – and we have high hopes that we’ll be able to help with more great projects for the school this latest academic year too.
Total raised this year
A big THANKS and WELL DONE to everyone who’s volunteered, supported and taken part in events so far this year.
About the PTA
Helping with projects like the new playground is a big part of what the PTA is all about.
With increasing constraints placed on educational funding, the PTA work is more important than ever. But as well as raising money for school equipment and resources to enhance our children’s lives, the PTA also helps bring teachers, staff, parents and carers together. Whether it’s a social gathering or a fundraising event, we come together as a community with a common goal.
We’re all a part of it!
Every parent, carer and teacher is automatically a member of the PTA.
Earlsfield PTA has gone from strength to strength over the last few years, with more classes, pupils and parents/carers than ever before. We try to encourage events that embrace the diverse and culturally enhancing intake of Earlsfield’s children. It’s only through your help that we can grow and improve this each year.
The Committee
The PTA committee meet regularly to discuss plans for each term and year. Every event, from cake sales to bigger events like the quiz, disco or Christmas fair, is led by reps from a chosen year group.
Class Reps
Each class has two representatives (Reps) who act as a point of contact between the committee and class group.
Reps hold meetings as required, depending on forthcoming events.
Our Reps are the social organisers for their classes, helping coordinate events such as discos, quizzes or cake sales and running stalls at the Christmas and summer fairs. Class Reps normally have their position for one year but often more!
Annual General Meeting
There is an AGM in September each year to which everyone is invited to attend.
The treasurer presents a review of funds raised from the previous year and outlines where the money has been spent within the school.

Need to clear out your wardrobes?
De-clutter AND help the school too! Two to three times a year we run a collection of any old (but still useable) clothes. A collection bag will be sent home; you just fill it and bring it back to school. We get money for the school per kg donated!
