Organisation of the School

All our classes are mixed and reflect the makeup of the school in terms of gender, race and ability.

The maximum number of children in each year group is 60. Once that number has been achieved we are unable to admit any more children to the relevant year group unless on appeal. Nursery admits up to 52 FTE –  24 fulltime places and 56 part-time places

The school is split into four phases

• Early Years — Nursery and Reception
• Key Stage 1 - Years 1 and 2 (5 to 7)
• Lower Key Stage 2 - Years 3 and 4 ( 7 to 9 )
• Upper Key Stage 2-Years 5 to 6 (9 to 11)

Classes in Early Years and Key Stage 1 are supported by a full time teaching assistant. Classes in Key Stage 2 are supported in the mornings with some staff running additional intervention groups in the afternoon. There are also a number of non-class-based teachers.
